The Yolo County Republican Central Committee is hosting an outing to an upcoming River Cats baseball game in West Sacramento set for Monday, July 3, Independence Eve. The occasion will include fireworks and a Patriotic Jersey Auction specially for Independence Eve. YCRCC has a section set aside with reserved seating for the evening. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
The River Cats’ home schedule includes seventy-one games. Monday, July 3, the River Cats will be playing the Fresno Grizzlies, one of the fifteen teams they are scheduled to play during the 2017 season.
The Sacramento River Cats are the Triple-A affiliate of the three-time World Champion San Francisco Giants. They will be playing at Raley Field, consistently voted one of the top ballparks in America.
The team has been based in Yolo County since 2000. Forbes listed the River Cats as the most valuable minor league franchise in 2012 and again in 2016. In 2015 the team drew over 670,000 fans in 72 home games leading the minor leagues in total attendance.
For the Yolo County Republican event, Individual seats are $25 for adults and children. Attendees have the option of also purchasing a meal voucher for $7 for a total of $32 per person entitling them to a hot dog, soft drink, and fries.
