Sacramento, CA - Statement by Senate Republican Leader Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel), Assembly Republican Leader Chad Mayes (R-Yucca Valley), and California Republican Party Chairman Jim Brulte in light of the Charlottesville Attack and Recent Protests.

“The California Republican Party, as outlined in its platform, stands for peace, freedom and liberty. It does not stand for, nor will it tolerate, hate or bigotry. There is no room in the California Republican Party for white supremacists, the KKK, neo-Nazis or any group whose goal is to destroy freedom and equality. Protests by white nationalist groups deserve swift and total condemnation from every American. Californians and Americans should not be judged by the color of their skin. Any person who believes differently does not belong in the Republican Party.”
