Yolo County Republicans will have a booth in the park in downtown Winters to celebrate the town’s Youth Day. At the booth will be a trivia game for children and adults to test their knowledge of American history with small, fun prizes for correct answers. All are invited to participate.
This year is the Youth Day’s 81st Birthday. It includes an extensive parade and a day of fun and festivities. Cash prizes, trophies, and ribbons are offered to the best in several categories with professional C.S.H.A judging available for all horse entries.

The Conejo Valley Republican City Club will meet at 6 PM on May 10th at Mimi’s Cafe, 400 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360. The Institute for Principle Studies is a Christian think-tank dedicated to researching and teaching foundational principles of government, economics, and history– principles that were known by the founding fathers but forgotten a generation later. The Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Michigan is the largest state-based free market think tank in the United States.
A lifelong student of history and government with a degree in political science from the University of Idaho, Mike worked as a professional campaign consultant in Washington and California. He leads tours of historical places where he teaches about the real foundations of America and is a frequent speaker at conferences and conventions, teaching government, economics, and history throughout the country. He has written numerous articles and essays and is the author of a textbook on rhetoric and academic debate. He is the co-developer of a government and economics curriculum that teaches the foundational principles of good government and economics.
