Mike Judge, Mayor Pro Tem of Simi Valley and an L.A. Police Department firearms instructor, will speak on “Gun Safety” at the March 17th meeting of the Conejo Valley Republican Women. Mayor Pro Tem Mike Judge was elected to the Simi Valley City Council in 2010 and was appointed by the City Council to serve as Mayor Pro Tem in 2017. He has been employed by the Los Angeles Police Department for 27 years, spending the majority of his career in the northwest San Fernando Valley area. Mike is also an Adjunct Los Angeles Police Department firearm instructor and a certified National Rifle Association (NRA) pistol & shotgun instructor. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1981 to 1985 and the California Army National Guard from 1985 to 1996.
Born in Encino, Mike was raised in Simi Valley. His family’s roots in the community predate the City’s incorporation, going back to the 1950’s when his grandparents settled there. Mike and his wife Sarit have three children.
