Shane Skelton worked as a Policy Advisor for the American Petroleum Institute (API) and as Legislative Counsel for Congressman Bob Latta. He later became Counsel and Policy Advisor for the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on the Budget, where he worked for then-chairman Paul Ryan developing and managing all energy, natural resource, and regulatory policy issues.
After that, Shane founded and was Executive Director of the Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure (Aii), a Washington DC-based non-partisan non-profit infrastructure and technology think tank. He is now a partner and co-founder of S2C Pacific, a California-based consulting firm, where he focuses on energy, natural resource, infrastructure, disruptive new technologies, and regulatory policy issues.
Shane earned his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his JD from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. In 2015, he left Washington, D.C. and moved to Southern California with his wife and two young children. Shane serves on the board of Project Narnia, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization focused on providing basic necessities, such as clothing, shoes, and personal hygiene products, to people living in poverty.
