National: We feel better heading into the weekend knowing that at least the State Dept folks are sleeping soundly because they didn’t really pay a $400 million ransom to Iran in the middle of the night- it just appears that way. Solid. We agree with the National Review’s summary of the entire situation; ‘Sometimes you just have to marvel at the way smart people can talk themselves into stupidity.’
We also read this article about how the Dems think they’ll win back congress with poorly recruited candidates and little COH. #FacePalm
California: Assemblyman Marc Steinorth is a dog lover— the Sac Bee tells us that he will visit four shelters over the weekend and pay for up to 100 adoptions at each location, starting this morning. Steinorth will use the opportunity to promote his Assembly Bill 797 that would allow people to break into cars to save trapped animals on hot days. Steinorth partnered with GOP Assemblywomen Kristin Olsen of Riverbank and Ling Ling Chang of Diamond Bar to prove a point as they sweated it out in a hot car this spring. If dogs could vote, they’d obviously vote for Marc.
Update: The #Steinorth100 ended the day with over 200 adoptions.
It’s like looking into a crystal ball. There are fewer jobs, the unemployment rate is higher, as is the number of unemployed. It seems to us that this is the not so far away future for California if some changes aren’t made- and quickly. We’re looking at you Dems.
P.S. The Dems will still not allocate $$ to #FixOurRoads.
