The Institute for Principle Studies is a Christian think-tank dedicated to researching and teaching foundational principles of government, economics, and history– principles that were known by the founding fathers but forgotten a generation later. The Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Michigan is the largest state-based free market think tank in the United States.
A lifelong student of history and government with a degree in political science from the University of Idaho, Mike worked as a professional campaign consultant in Washington and California. He leads tours of historical places where he teaches about the real foundations of America and is a frequent speaker at conferences and conventions, teaching government, economics, and history throughout the country. He has written numerous articles and essays and is the author of a textbook on rhetoric and academic debate. He is the co-developer of a government and economics curriculum that teaches the foundational principles of good government and economics.
With the Constitution and its impact on our lives very much in the news, Mr. Winther’s subject matter and expertise couldn’t be timelier!
