Assembly Republican Leader Waldron Statement on Poway Synagogue Shooting

ESCONDIDO – Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldron issued the following statement on Saturday, April 27, on the shooting at the Chabad of Poway synagogue:

“Today, the last day of Passover, was supposed to be a time for the Chabad of Poway congregation to celebrate the liberation of the Jewish people. Instead, a man motivated by hate committed a terrible act of violence. My heart breaks for the victims of this horrific attack. We must stand united against hate and support our Jewish neighbors. We will not let this violence divide our community.

“I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the victims and their families, my thanks to law enforcement for their work to bring the attacker to justice and my hope for a speedy recovery to everyone who was injured.”
