Statement By California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring Marking Independence Day 2008
California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring today issued the following statement marking Independence Day 2008: "Two hundred thirty two years ago, our country's founding fathers signed a document that set the course of our nation and forever influenced the rest of the world. We remember the boldness of their leadership, the greatness of their principles, and the continued relevance of their legacy: freedom, liberty, and dignity for all of God's creation on this earth. "Today, we persist in our commitment to the fundamental principles of our country and express our boundless gratitude to Americans in every generation who have defended and continue to defend our country and its people. We will keep the brave members of our armed forces in our prayers as they move in and around harm's way in defense of the bold ideals of our nation. "I wish you all a Happy Fourth of July, and blessing and safety in your celebrations." ### |
