 Statement From CRP Chairman Ron Nehring On The 40th Anniversary Of Dr. Martin Luther King's Assassination 

California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring today issued the following statement concerning the 40th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's assassination: 

"Today on the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we remember the life, work, and legacy of this great man.

"Through his faith, strong leadership, and exceptional power of speech, Dr. King gave a voice to the disenfranchised and courage to a movement. His resolve for justice empowered millions and set an example that still inspires Americans to this day.

"We honor the great work of Dr. King, a giant in our country's history, and remember his life and fight for millions of our fellow Americans that they might achieve their God-given rights of dignity and equality."
