Statement From CRP Chairman Ron Nehring Concerning Jerry McNerney's Broken National Security Promises

Jerry McNerney Abandons Campaign Promises To Keep Americans Safe In Pursuit Of Liberal Record
 

California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring today issued the following statement concerning Rep. Jerry McNerney's (CA-11) broken national security promises:

"Bay Area Democrat Jerry McNerney has again abandoned his promises to the people of the 11th congressional district, choosing to vote lock-step with the liberal Democratic House leadership to fund pet projects instead of critical national security and intelligence-gathering programs.
 
"Jerry McNerney has lost all credibility.  He has chosen to embrace exactly what he claimed to oppose during his campaign for Congress, voting for ‘pet projects that have little to nothing to do with homeland security' and ditching his ‘solemn duty' to keep Americans safe and deal with terrorists ‘harshly and without compromise or negotiation.'
 
"Jerry McNerney should at least try to explain how his votes for pet projects and monitoring climate change, rather than resources for our intelligence community, contribute to Americans' security."

Jerry McNerney's Campaign Promises On National Security:
