California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring Issues Statement Concerning Senator Barack Obama's Economic Stimulus Proposal

Posted: Wednesday, January 16, 2008

"Senator Barack Obama's 'stimulus package' is more about 'stimulating' his presidential campaign than the economy.

"Making the President's tax cuts permanent and minimizing the job-killing effects of heavy-handed regulations coming out of Washington would do more to strengthen the economy and create jobs than anything Barack Obama is talking about today.

"We already knew Obama doesn't have the experience or background needed to lead the nation in foreign policy. Today he's showing us he doesn't have the domestic policy experience either."

Ron Nehring, Chairman, California Republican Party
