Statement By California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring On Gov. Schwarzenegger's State of the State Address

(Sacramento) - California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring tonight issued the following statement concerning Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's State of the State Address. 

"Governor Schwarzenegger delivered a home run for Californians tonight.

"The Governor made clear the state's fiscal condition is his top priority and it's the responsibility of our elected officials to fix California's broken budget system once and for all, without raising taxes. 

"Californian's are generous.  They continue to pay for state government and its seemingly insatiable appetite, but their generosity should not be abused.  Californians expect responsibility with their tax dollars.  By focusing on prioritizing and controlling state government spending, while resisting the higher taxes demanded by partisan Democrats, the Governor made it clear he will stand up for every California taxpayer."
