Roll Call: "That Was Fast"
Clinton Campaign Quick to Distance Itself From Support of Spitzer
"Faster than you can say 'prosititution ring', the Clinton campaign has all but removed the name Eliot Spitzer from its showcase of support in light of the New York governor's implication in a highly publicized, interstate sex scandal. This is the third such incident of sexual impropriety from a major Clinton campaign supporter since 2007."
Kevin Roberts, Spokesman, California Republican Party
That Was Fast Roll Call Heard On The Hill Emily Heil and Anna Palmer March 11, 2008 Oh, what a difference a day makes. A quick check of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's (D-N.Y.) campaign Web site turned up not a single mention of the endorsement of Clinton by suddenly scandal-icious New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer. ... The New York Times reported on Monday that the governor was linked to a prostitution ring. Spitzer endorsed Clinton in 2007.
