"EL QUE NADA DEBE, NADA TEME"**

New questions arise regarding Assembly Speaker Fabian Nùñez and his "body guard":

  1. Is Nùñez' body guard on state payroll?
  1. If Nùñez is "very confident and comfortable" that his expenses are "not only justified but necessary for the decisions [he] need[s] to make on a daily basis" why is he running from reporters?
  1. Is having a body guard the new perk of living "how most middle-class people live[?]"

"Confident And Comfortable" -  Living "How Most Middle Class People Live"

"These trips," he said, "at least the ones I've taken -- I feel very confident and comfortable that they're not only justified but necessary for the decisions I need to make on a daily basis."

  • "There's not too big a difference," he said, "between how I live and how most middle-class people live." (Nancy Vogel, "Nuñez Travels The World Like A High-Roller," The Los Angeles Times, 10/5/07)

** A common Latino expression: "He who owes nothing, fears nothing"
